When the city sleeps

“When the city sleeps” is about the time when the city has long gone to sleep and you’re still awake: warm, slow beats, plenty of space and voices right up close. Ten after-hours songs about love, distance and desire – from “After midnight” to “Different city, same moon”.

This album brought Amapiano into the Skyloop catalogue: soft log drums, lots of air between the instruments and lyrics that can only be told in a whisper. The full album is also available as a lyric video on YouTube.
